Dr. Ryschon Calls You
Timothy Ryschon, MD — board-certified with 31 years of clinical experience — will call you at the number you provide, typically same day. The visit takes about 15–20 minutes.
Rx Sent to Your Pharmacy
If a prescription is clinically appropriate, it’s e-prescribed directly to your local pharmacy the same day. Most patients can pick up their inhaler the same afternoon.
What to Expect During the Visit
- Dr. Ryschon will review your asthma history, current symptoms, and any medications you’ve tried
- He’ll assess severity and determine the right controller + rescue inhaler regimen for you
- He’ll explain how to use manufacturer copay programs to reduce your cost to as low as $35/month
- Visits typically run 15–20 minutes — no rushing, real answers
- You’ll receive an after-visit summary by email
What You’ll Need to Have Ready
- A phone that can receive calls (cell or landline)
- Your current medication list (if you have one)
- A list of any inhalers or treatments you’ve tried and whether they worked
- Your pharmacy name, city, and state so Dr. Ryschon can e-prescribe directly

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need insurance?
No. Asthmaniac is a direct-pay telehealth service. You pay $80 at the time of booking. No insurance, no co-pays, no prior authorizations, no denied claims. At the pharmacy, you can use your insurance, GoodRx, or manufacturer copay cards to reduce your medication cost.
How quickly can I get an appointment?
Most patients are seen same-day. After completing your booking, Dr. Ryschon’s team will reach out to schedule your call time. Availability may vary based on time of day and patient volume.
Can I get refills after my first visit?
Yes. Established patients can request prescription refills through the same booking process. Follow-up visits are also $80 and are typically shorter than the initial visit.
What if I need a rescue inhaler right now?
If you’re having a severe asthma attack — severe shortness of breath, no relief from your current rescue inhaler, or blue lips — call 911 or go to your nearest ER immediately. For stable patients running low on medication, same-day visits are typically available.
Will my pharmacy be able to fill the prescription?
Yes. Dr. Ryschon uses a certified e-prescribing platform. Your prescription is sent electronically to the pharmacy you specify. Any licensed US pharmacy can receive it.
What does the $80 fee cover?
The $80 covers the physician consultation — review of your history, clinical assessment, treatment plan, and e-prescription. It does not include the cost of medications at the pharmacy. However, brand-name inhaler copay programs can reduce your medication cost to as low as $35/month for eligible patients.
